The Mom’s Choice Awards® Names Hugga Bébé Among Best In Family-Friendly Products

The Mom's Choice Awards® has named Hugga Bébé among the best in family-friendly media, products and services. The Mom’s Choice Awards® (MCA) is an awards program that recognizes authors, inventors, companies, parents and others for their efforts in creating quality family-friendly media, products and services.

Parents, educators, librarians and retailers rely on MCA evaluations when selecting quality materials for children and families. The Mom’s Choice Awards® seal helps families and educators navigate the vast array of products and services and make informed decisions.

An esteemed panel of judges includes education, media and other experts as well as parents, children, librarians, performing artists, producers, medical and business professionals, authors, scientists and others. MCA judges are bound by a strict code of ethics which ensures expert and objective analysis free from any manufacturer association. The evaluation process uses a propriety methodology in which entries are scored on a number of elements including production quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal and cost.

To be considered for an award, each entrant submits five identical samples of a product. Entries are matched to judges in the MCA database. Judges perform a thorough analysis and submit a detailed assessment. Results are compiled and submitted to the MCA Executive Committee for final approval. The end result is a list of the best in family-friendly media, products and services that parents and educators can feel confident in using.

The winners were announced today via email.

Hugga-Bébé Named Finalist in JPMA Innovation Awards
Mom Invented Hugga-Bébé to Protect Babies and Toddlers during Playtime

Tulsa, Ok – The owner and founder of Hugga-Bébé is proud to announce that Hugga-Bébé is a finalist in the Juvenile Product Manufacturers Association's (JPMA) Innovation Awards Competition.

The JPMA Innovation Awards Competition highlights some of the most exciting new products in the marketplace today. Nominees are judged on their innovation, marketability, trend-setting potential, appeal and usefulness. The JPMA will announce its winner at the ABC Kids Expo in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Inventor and founder Kimberly Davis of Tulsa, Oklahoma is a mom of two girls who created the Hugga-Bébé in March of 2007. Kimberly's idea came to her in a dream after watching her 4 month-old nephew fall over in his activity center. In her dream, she created a product to protect her nephew and keep him safe. Davis began designing Hugga-Bébé the next day and spent more than a year researching and designing the product.

Hugga-Bébé protects babies and toddlers while they are seated in activity centers, jumpers, walkers and bucket swings found at most parks. The Hugga-Bébé is safe, practical and versatile and is designed for children 4 months old through toddler years. It is easy to use and is machine washable.

Davis has a patent pending on the product and is rolling out production on the Hugga-Bébé Spring of 2009. The product is scheduled to be on the market and for sale in March of 2009. Davis is planning to sell Hugga-Bébé to wholesale buyers and retail stores. Davis also plans to sell directly to consumers through her website, www.myhuggabebe.com.
